Communication Specialist Bridget Otoo has stated why she has decided not to take the Covid-19 vaccine.

Earlier today, Ms Otoo shared on her social media that she was about to go take her first jab.

“Vaccination Day” she captioned a photo of her in her car on Instagram.

Two hours later, she posted a video on social media stating that she had decided not to take the vaccine after all.

“Good morning, so today I woke up and decided to go get my vaccine but my friend Doctor said it wasn’t right and I should wait for the vulnerable groups, people with underlying conditions, the frontline workers and I thought it made sense,” she said in the video.

She however, explained that the main reason why she won’t be taking the vaccine anytime soon is a result of some medical advice she has received.

“The more compelling reason why I have decided not to take the vaccine is that my big sister’s Doctor told her not to take it because she wants to have a kid and that there’s not enough evidence to support it. I put that to my Ghana Doctor and he said well, really there’s no connection between the immune system our immunity which is really where the vaccine will work and our hormones so I can go ahead and take it when the time is right.

“But I’ve still decided not to take it because her Doctor told her not to take it and  I don’t have a kid as well so I wouldn’t take it until we have enough evidence to support it. So if you’re like me, maybe you shouldn’t. But if not, you can take it when the time is right. But wait for the frontline workers to take their’s first,” she explained.

Meanwhile, in the course of the week, some famous media personnel and celebrities including Bola Ray, Nana Aba Anamoah, Caroline Sampson, Sandra Ankobiah, Naa Ashorkor, D-Black have taken the jab and shared their experience to the public.
